Shellac Manicure – A Practical Luxury for Women

Shellac ManicureWhat’s a Shellac Manicure? First, a little introduction… Being a full-time mother, full-time wife, and having a full-time job, my life my life is always on the go. Unfortunately, there is only 24 hours in a day, so I’m always on a hunt to live well and save an extra 5 or 10 minutes. Time is a luxury item for me and most working mothers can attest to that.

During my single life, I would get manicures on a weekly basis. My friends and I would book our appointments and while our nails were drying, that was our time to chitchat about our daily lives and catch up about dates that we had just gone on or the new pair of shoes we bought. If my nail smudges after leaving the salon, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back in and spend another 20 minutes to fix it. Now, that is a thing of the past.

I am lucky if I can book myself bi-weekly manicures. That is why I get a Shellac Manicure. The difference between a Shellac Manicure and regular spa manicure is the fact that aShellac Manicure has zero dry time and lasts for two weeks. Those two factors are extremely important to me because as a working woman, I work 10 hour days and as a full-time mom, I work another 14 hour day when I arrive home.

With my week consisting of 7 loads of laundry, 50 diaper changes, 6 homemade dinners and managing 6 full-service spas, I always know that my Shellac will never chip or smudge on me. Best of all I don’t have to sit and wait for my nails to dry. It may be a luxury item for some, but it’s a luxury item turned practical service that I can’t live without.
